I take an integrated approach to training with a heavy emphasis on safety, the use of checklists, and aviation decision making.  While each student is expected to complete their own preparation and take the FAA Written exam, they will be loaned a preparation workbook and periodically quizzed to support the student's learning.

Learning to safely fly a PPC is similar to acquiring any new skill in that a new student will pick up the skills required more quickly if they conduct their training in a relatively concentrated time period. Since weather is often the constraint to training, the more flexible the student's schedule, the sooner the student can acquire the necessary flying skills.
